Post 4: Time travel


If I could travel back in time, I would like to travel back in time, because we know the past, that is, it is a safe place where we know the risks. However in the future do not have hope, the climatic crisis, drought and the Neo-liberal system (that involves technology and consumption) it make the future uninhabitable.

I would travel to 1818 in Chile (all this used to be countryside) vast fields of fertile land, clean river and seas, clean air everywhere. The life is good.

In this year Chile was a independence country, the war is the past and  missing more for the next war (the pacific war 1879 and the civil war in 1891) slavery no longer exists, its coming a period of constitutional essays. 

There are no laws in favor of women, they should only get married and take care of the house, man is the provider (I don't want to be a independent woman anymore, I'm tired)

well, I would like to travel back in time because mainly due to drought, extreme heat and the economic crisis and the inability to obtain land or home. I like technology a lot, but its already at a point were its a bit invasive in the personal life.

Post 5: Changes to my study programme

First of all, I will mention that I am a student in Art History and Theory, I love my degree, but there are definitely some things I would change about the curriculum. To put this in context, he also pointed out that I am a first year teaching assistant. During this period, he has seen many basic deficiencies that should be addressed in school, one of which is reading comprehension and with it, spelling (I understand that not everyone comes from good schools, that they were trained with a pandemic and that no one is born knowing) but I think it is unusual for words like "Bibir" even with digital spell-checking tools. I understand that in many arts courses (such as theatre or dance) there are special entrance exams. It would be interesting to use a test of this kind for Art Theory and Art History, something like a literary creation under certain parameters, taking into account spelling, cohesion, creativity, etc. Another aspect to be developed, and along the same lines as spel...

Post 2: Best Concert Ever

      I started going to music concerts when I was 14 years old. However, the best concert of my life were only a few days ago.  This piece was commissioned to Tchaikovsky, but at it is first premiere, it was pulverized by the critics, remaining some years in oblivion, about 20 years later it had the expected success with the re-elaboration of the choreography and some parts of the score.  I invited my grandmother for see and listening The Swan Lake of Piotr Tchaikovsky in the Municipal Theatre of Santiago, due to the location of the seat and the acoustics of the hall, the aesthetic experience was marvelous.This play ran for two weeks, and although I bought tickets in advance, they were already very scarce, what I found a bit exaggerated for a play that is presented every year, only when I finished watching it that I understood why. A highly elaborate set design, handmade costume and the intensity of the movements, the drama and the history is immersive.

Post 1: A country you would like to visit

 Perú One of the countries I would like to visit is Perú. There are many reasons why I would like to visit it. One of them is the economics, since it is a country that is very close to Chile; so you do not need a passport and if you have time, you can arrive by land. Perú is a country that shares historical characteristics with Chile. From the colonization, to independence with San Martin, then with the Pacific war. Its capital is Lima, and the food is one of the best in the world, being the authors of pisco sour. I really like to visit the ruins of the Peruvian heritage, because their are visuals is the result of the syncretism between the pre-hispanic population and the colonizers, creating a new language. For this reason I would love to work in this place, especially in museums or something with the art and the heritage; plus I could visit my family.  Cusco.
